Navigating the Instructional Unit

In this unit, anything that is in bold and italics is a key word that you should know for future reference. The definitions for these words are contained in the text and at the end of this unit for easy reference.

The Unit has been subdivided into several sections. As you review the objectives, you will note titles in parentheses at the end of each objective. The Dentitions is the title of the first subsection of this unit. It is in bold font and has been underlined to provide a link to that specific information if you would like to review only that portion of the unit. This will help you link the objective to the location of this information. Any link to additional information to supplement your learning will be bolded and underlined. Click on these terms to view images, diagrams, drawings and additional text that will assist you in the learning process.

Throughout this unit are opportunities for you to interact with the information. It is important that you complete the assessments and enter answers to questions that have been posed to you. In some cases, you will not be able to progress through the unit until you respond to the given item. Make a valid attempt to the question, for your answer may be posted for others to see.
